What we do

The full stack, from registration to renewal.

Each service below is quoted and delivered on its own, and each one is a step most founders discover only when it blocks them. You can buy them individually or take the sequence as a package — the difference is price, not scope.

Start here

Mainland or free zone? The first fork.

Almost every enquiry starts with this question, and the honest answer depends on one thing: who your customers are. Selling to Omani companies, government or consumers points to mainland. Manufacturing, re-export or regional logistics points to a free zone.

Free zone

Zone entity

  • Trade inside OmanVia agent or branch
  • Government tendersGenerally not
  • Foreign ownership100%
  • Corporate taxHoliday up to 30 years
  • Registration timeVaries by zone
  • FromQuoted per zone

If you are still unsure after reading that, it is a fifteen-minute conversation rather than a research project. We will tell you if a free zone is wrong for you even though the mainland engagement is the smaller fee.

The sequence

The order these actually happen in.

Services are sold separately, but they are not independent. Each one gates the next, and the most common expensive mistake is starting the bank conversation before the tax certificate exists.

1
Days 1–20

Formation

Name reservation, MoA and AoA, commercial registration, tax certificate, OCCI membership. Everything downstream depends on the CR, so nothing else starts until this is issued.

2
Weeks 4–8

Banking

KYC pack, introduction to a named banker, account opening. This is where badly prepared files stall for months — the pack matters more than the relationship.

3
Weeks 4–10

Residency

Investor visa on the strength of the CR, then family sponsorship and employee permits. Runs in parallel with banking rather than after it.

4
From month 2

Tax registration

Corporate tax registration immediately, VAT registration when turnover reaches OMR 38,500 — or voluntarily before that if your customers expect a VAT invoice.

5
Ongoing

PRO retainer

Renewals, amendments and filings on a calendar someone else is watching. Most founders take this on after the first renewal deadline surprises them.

Frequently asked

Honest answers, no sales spin.

Which services do I actually need to start a company in Oman?
At minimum, formation and a corporate bank account. Most foreign founders also need an investor visa to hold residency, and VAT registration once turnover reaches OMR 38,500. A PRO retainer becomes worthwhile from the first renewal cycle onward — before that it is optional.
Can these services be bought separately?
Yes, every one of them. The Start, Launch and Grow packages simply bundle the common combinations at a lower total than buying the same items one at a time. If you already have a CR and only need banking or a visa, say so and we will quote that alone.
Do I need to be in Oman for any of this?
Formation can be completed remotely with a notarised and attested power of attorney. Bank account opening and residency biometrics generally require one visit to Muscat — we schedule those together so it is a single trip rather than three.
How long does the whole sequence take end to end?
About 20 working days to commercial registration once documents are in order, a further 2–4 weeks for an operational bank account, and roughly 3–6 weeks for investor residency after the CR is issued. Banking and residency overlap, so most founders are fully operational inside three months.

Let's talk

Thirty minutes to find out if Oman is right for you.

No pitch deck, no pressure. We will tell you if your activity is restricted, if a free zone suits you better, or if Oman is the wrong market for what you are building.
